In our blog, ‘MSP Growth Trends in 2020,’ we shared insights from the 2020 Global Benchmark Survey conducted by IT Glue, where 1,500 MSPs were asked in which areas they expected to find the best new revenue opportunities. The top three areas were Disaster-Recovery-as-a-Service (DRaaS), cybersecurity awareness and Security-as-a-Service. It came as no surprise that the number 1 revenue-generating opportunity was DRaaS.

For any organization, data is the most important asset. The increase in cyberattacks in 2020 has added a whole new dimension to the challenges data security and business continuity face on a daily basis. Cybersecurity Ventures predicts that the financial damage due to ransomware attacks will reach $20 billion by 2021. During these unprecedented times, the major focus is on marketing and sales as businesses rethink their strategies to stay in the game. We recently conducted a successful workshop on the do’s and don’ts of demand generation and how to quickly set up digital marketing strategies. Here is the checklist to recap this. Our blog, ‘MSP Growth Hacks,’ highlighted some of the best revenue-generating areas many MSPs are capitalizing on to maximize profits. Despite the social and economic impacts of the global health pandemic, there is no lack of opportunities for MSPs to improve revenue and scale their business. According to Gartner, Inc., global IT spending is expected to grow four percent from 2020 to reach $3.8 trillion in 2021. Data security is a need that will never go away. In fact, it will only become more important over time as technology advances and hackers get smarter.
